Pei Lyu is a litigator focusing on high-stakes IP and unfair competition disputes in the PRC, with additional expertise in cyber security and data protection compliance. She is known for complex, hard-fought cases, including well-known trade mark recognition, trade dress protection, unfair competition involving novel business models, and matters with difficult evidential issues or substantial damages, and for strategies that deliver commercially meaningful results. She closely follows IP issues arising from AI and AIGC. She acted as lead counsel in landmark cases, including Panpan’s RMB 100 million damages award with the maximum punitive damages multiplier; Arnold & Richter Cine Technik’s trade dress recognition case, a QBPC Top 10 Case; and the BB-12/LGG strain trade mark case, selected by the Supreme People’s Court as a top case.
