Heather advises clients worldwide on protecting, managing, and enforcing trademark, copyright, and trade dress rights. She represents businesses ranging from startups to multinational corporations on intellectual property matters, including global trademark and copyright prosecution, portfolio counseling, enforcement strategies, and cancellation and opposition proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). Heather has extensive experience guiding clients through every stage of the trademark lifecycle, from clearance searches and application filings to responding to office actions, securing registrations, and managing renewals. Her practice spans a broad range of industries, including software, consumer products, food and beverage, apparel, building materials, education, telecommunications, insurance, hospitality, entertainment, and medical and technology services. Heather serves on the International Trademark Association’s (INTA) Trademark Office Practices Committee and previously served on its Anti-Counterfeiting Committee. She is Vice Chair of the American Intellectual Property Law Association’s (AIPLA) Trademark Treaties and International Law Committee and was recognized as an LCLD Pathfinder (2023) and Fellow (2025).
